To Andrew Lowrey, Founder and President of Precise Home Management, being of service isn’t just a career — it’s a way of life. A formally trained British butler, he brings the unique, hands-on, expert perspective of having served and advised exclusive clients and trained exceptional staff for some of the world’s most prestigious households and estates.

If you ask Andrew what’s most important to him, it’s that service should always come from the heart.

For clients, this means that there’s no challenge too large, no opportunity to be of service that’s too small. When it comes to candidates, Andrew is an encouraging ally with the will and the skill to help set qualified applicants up for success. He works tirelessly and with the utmost discretion on behalf of clients and candidates alike to create long-term, mutually rewarding placements. Today Precise Home Management serves clients around the globe with extraordinary domestic staffing, consulting & training and residence management services.

A native Englishman and graduate of the world renowned Ivor Spencer International Butler School, Andrew’s background before launching Precise Home Management in 1998 included working as a butler and estate manager for a range of clients from royalty to other high-profile individuals in some of the world’s most luxurious homes, on private yachts and in other premier locales. He also established and operated his own restaurant in Cambridgeshire, England. Having traveled the globe extensively during the early part of his career, Andrew relocated to the United States to accept the position of butler and estate manager for one of Maryland’s most prominent families in a 25,000 sq. foot home built for a member of the Vanderbilt family.

In 1998, Andrew founded Precise Home Management. In addition to sharing his expertise as a trusted advisor to his distinguished clientele, he is often called upon as an expert on being a butler and in private service in general by media outlets and programs including Forbes, People, Town & Country, Robb Report, Millionaire, Style, ABC Evening News, UPN’s Life & Style, NBC’s “Living It Up with Ali & Jack, ABC’s The Family, Channel 4 UK “Can’t Get the Staff,” England’s SKY’s Jeeves & Wooster, and Washington Life, to name a few.

Andrew currently splits his time between residences in Baltimore, Maryland and Cambridge, England.

Michael Wright, like Andrew, has a leadership background in the private services industry and has built his career providing guidance, direction and insight to clients, candidates and colleagues alike. In 2007, he saw the need to raise industry standards, so he co-founded the Domestic Estate Management Association (DEMA). The emergence of DEMA was a game-changer, providing private service professionals the resources necessary to make a difference in this exclusive, high-profile industry. Under Michael’s leadership as Executive Director and Vice President of DEMA, the association rapidly grew to over 3,000 members worldwide.

Michael joined Precise Home Management in 2018, bringing with him both an authentic passion for work in private services and exceptional management skills. His deep knowledge of the inner workings of the industry are a boon to clients and candidates alike. A perfect complement to Andrew, Michael ensures that all the behind-the-scenes, operational tasks, up to and including thorough background investigations, are executed with the utmost discretion and at the highest level of detail.

If you ask Michael what’s most important to him, it’s to serve and protect the best interests of his clients and ensure the most critical component of long-term success — the candidates — have the education and training necessary to excel in their positions.

Originally from Michigan, Michael started his career as a finish carpenter and worked in some of the largest estates in Oakland County. From there, he moved into corporate America as a trainer for a Fortune 500 company and in various Director of Marketing positions. His move into the private services industry more than a dozen years ago was precipitated by a desire to work with passion and purpose, delivering exceptional experiences to clients and candidates alike.

Michael has been quoted and featured in major publications such as: Forbes, The New York Times, Bloomberg, NPR, D Business, HOUR Detroit, The Shiny Sheet – Palm Beach Daily News, the Orlando Sentinel, The Triton, and the Naples Daily News.

Michael currently resides in Winter Garden, FL.

Peter Van Ryder

Placement Specialist

icPeter is a formally trained domestic service professional who has spent his career in private service, with a focus on helping others live a good life. His first hands-on positions included working as a bellman and concierge in a luxury hotel in Houston, Texas; eventually working his way up to upper management of a Crowne Plaza Hotel. Refining his skills at the top echelons of exceptional service, Peter worked as an innkeeper at a four star country Inn and French restaurant. Before joining Precise Home Management, he also worked in homes on both coasts and overseas, from 9,000 to 30,000 square feet, on estates ranging from four to 280 acres with active horse trails.

Peter is dedicated to continually honing his skill through continuous education and a focus on sharing his wisdom for the betterment of the industry. He is a former instructor of Charles MacPherson’s housekeeping course, and the creator of “The Essentials Of Household & Estate Management,” which is a two-day course on managing estates and writing household manuals.

If you ask Peter what’s most important to him, it’s seeing service as a supreme act of giving, in which one’s own ego and preconceptions are set aside for the preferences of the principal.

Peter’s first hand knowledge of the private services industry makes him a reliable, trustworthy resource for candidates and clients alike. He has an exceptional ability to manage multiple projects, with just the right touch in taking charge of challenging situations to deliver superior results without causing undue worry to clients. Peter also has particular expertise in building effective procedures and policies that are documented within comprehensive household manuals to ensure the continuity of service at every property, regardless of its location or distance from the main residence.

Peter currently resides in Dallas and specializes in making placements in both his home state of Texas and California as well.
