Location: McLean, VA (Live-Out)

Schedule:
Full-Time, Monday–Friday, with flexibility for occasional evenings or weekends

Compensation: $80,000–$90,000 annually, depending on experience

POSITION OVERVIEW:

A private family in McLean, VA is seeking an experienced, highly organized Family Assistant / Nanny to provide household and administrative support. This role includes assisting with two active teenagers, coordinating household operations, and overseeing vendors and maintenance. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a warm, professional demeanor. Discretion, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Family & Household Support

  • Coordinate family calendars, appointments, and travel arrangements.

  • Liaise with schools, tutors, and extracurricular providers to support academic and activity schedules.

  • Run errands, manage household shopping, and maintain inventory of supplies and personal items.

  • Organize family events, dinners, and travel logistics as needed.

  • Maintain organized household filing systems, records, and digital documents.

Property & Vendor Management

  • Oversee maintenance, repairs, and seasonal projects for the primary McLean residence and any secondary properties.

  • Schedule and supervise vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely, high-quality work.

  • Maintain property manuals, warranties, and vendor contact lists.

  • Support estate readiness for holidays, guest visits, and family entertaining.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Family Assistant or Nanny in a private household.

  • Strong organizational, administrative, and time-management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

  • Proficiency with digital tools including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and organizational apps.

  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Discreet, trustworthy, and professional demeanor.

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

  • U.S. work authorization.
