Compensation: $90,000–$150,000 annually, depending on experience (DOE)

POSITION OVERVIEW:
A private family in McLean, VA is seeking a polished and service-oriented House Manager / Butler to support and oversee daily operations of their 10,000 sq. ft. residence. This individual will take pride in delivering exceptional service, maintaining household standards, and fostering a serene, spiritually grounded environment.
This role is ideal for a graduate of a recognized butler or formal service school (must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. citizenship or valid work visa required). The family, a young family of three, is seeking a calm and knowledgeable professional who can bring structure, service expertise, and a warm presence to a more formal household setting.
This is a unique position suited for someone who values mindfulness, service, and the “giving of oneself” through hospitality, care, and attention to detail. Working trials can be arranged and are fully compensated.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee all entertaining and table-service needs: breakfast, lunch, dinner, and afternoon tea.
Serve family members and their guests with professionalism and discretion.
Drive the family or guests on occasion (Rolls Royce) for airport pickups or other destinations.
Supervise housekeepers and external cleaning teams.
Manage all vendors including landscapers, HVAC, pest control, and pool service providers.
Create detailed household protocol checklists for both family and guest preferences.
Prepare guest rooms with personalized details such as preferred flowers, toiletries, linens, and reading materials.
Maintain household order, schedules, and readiness standards for both daily living and guest visits.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Formal butler or household management training strongly preferred.
Experience managing or supporting a formal household.
Calm, polished, and spiritually grounded demeanor.
Strong service mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
Familiarity with the DC–VA–MD region and experience working within the tri-state area preferred.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (citizen or valid work visa).
Excellent communication skills, discretion, and professionalism.
