POSITION OVERVIEW:

An experienced and highly organized House Manager / House Person is sought for a 7,000 sq. ft. private residence in Baltimore County. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the home, maintaining high standards, and acting as the central point of coordination for vendors, household tasks, and family needs.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and an excellent communicator who takes pride in maintaining a well-run, welcoming home environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Household Management

  • Oversee the daily operations of a 7,000 sq. ft. residence.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all household-related matters.

The ideal candidate will be a highly organized self-starter with strong communication and problem-solving skills. This role requires someone service-oriented who can anticipate the family’s needs, manage children’s schedules and travel logistics, maintain organization within the household, prepare nutritious dinners, and help support a warm and welcoming home environment. The family would like to entertain more frequently and maintain a cleaner, more organized home for guests.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Household Management & Organization

  • Maintain overall organization throughout the home, including pantry, bedrooms, closets, and basement areas.

  • Take a proactive approach to improving household organization and daily efficiency.

  • Support the family during an upcoming renovation project in the owner’s bathroom and closet area, including assisting with organization and coordinating contractor access.

  • Supervise household vendors such as housekeepers, pest control, deliveries, HVAC technicians, and other service providers.

  • Interview, select, negotiate costs, and oversee vendors, contractors, and handymen as needed.

  • Manage errands and personal shopping, including items for household needs and occasional entertaining.

  • Complete household laundry twice per week, including folding and putting away clothing, linens, and towels, and managing dry cleaning.

Childcare Support

  • Prepare children for sports practices and games, including organizing equipment, water bottles, sunscreen, and uniforms.

  • Be present for in-home music lessons twice per week.

  • Seasonally organize and clean out children’s closets and recommend needed clothing items.

  • Transport children to occasional medical appointments such as allergy shots.

  • Provide supervision and engagement during school vacation days when parents are working.
