POSITION OVERVIEW:

A busy father in Takoma Park is seeking a dependable, versatile, and proactive Father’s Helper to provide part-time household support. This role requires someone who can wear many hats, light cooking, basic home organization, small-scale property upkeep, vendor coordination, and general household assistance. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Household Support & Organization

• Maintain organization in kitchen, pantry, and storage areas.

• Assist with household laundry including washing, folding, and putting items away.

• Provide occasional support with transporting children.

Vendor & Property Coordination

• Communicate clearly with service providers to ensure work is completed properly.

Light Yard Work & Exterior Support

• Assist with basic outdoor tasks such as sweeping patios, removing debris, watering plants, and light gardening.

• Support seasonal upkeep as requested.

Pool Support

• Perform basic pool upkeep (skimming, emptying baskets, and checking chemical levels if trained).

• Notify and coordinate with the pool company when service is needed.

Errands & Miscellaneous Tasks

• Run occasional errands such as grocery shopping, Amazon returns, and supply pickups.

• Assist with miscellaneous tasks and small projects to support overall household operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior experience in a household support, family assistant, houseman/handyman, or similar role.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize independently.

• Comfortable with pets (if applicable).

• Reliable transportation and clean driving record.

• Trustworthy, discreet, and professional with strong communication skills.
