Caregiver Live-Out Only

Caregiver for 90+ Female (Maryland)
We can only consider candidates who live in the DMV area.

The client is seeking a compassionate caregiver to complete a team of three caregivers for a woman in her 90s. We have supported this client for many years and highly recommend this position.

Primary Responsibilities

Personal Care

  • Provide grooming and daily living assistance for an elderly (90+) female.

Safety

  • Maintain a safe environment to support mobility and reduce fall risks in the home and during outings.

Medical Support

  • Assist the onsite supervisor with scheduling and attending medical appointments.

  • Provide medication reminders and ensure prescriptions are taken as directed.

Travel

  • Drive the client using a company vehicle to medical appointments and social events.

  • Travel with the client to ensure smooth check-in processes, wheelchair needs, and general assistance.

  • Occasional extended travel may be required; a valid passport is necessary.

Other Duties

  • Assist with managing and reviewing the client’s social calendar.

  • Prepare light meals.

  • Perform light housekeeping.

  • Run errands as needed.

  • Offer companionship when desired.

  • Attend training sessions related to specialized areas of care.

  • Provide minimal pet care for a small household dog.

  • Maintain consistent communication with the supervisor regarding all work-related matters, including providing at least 30 days’ notice for leave requests.

Typical Work Hours

Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM (includes bathing and dressing)
Night Shift: 8:00 PM – 7:00 AM (covered by 3–4 caregivers)

Flexibility to extend shifts when needed is required.

Qualifications

  • GED required.

  • Active and maintained CNA/GNA state licenses.

  • Five years of experience as a caregiver in a hospital, nursing home, or private home environment, specifically working with elderly individuals and age-related illnesses.

  • Emergency preparedness knowledge.

  • Must be vaccinated against COVID and comply with CDC-recommended vaccines for elder care providers.

  • Must be conscientious, organized, and able to multitask effectively.

  • Strong work ethic and a team-oriented mindset.

  • Ability to maintain a positive and supportive environment.

  • Reliable transportation.

  • Adaptability and willingness to help with additional duties as needed.
