Caregiver Live-In or Live-Out

Caregiver for 90+ female Maryland. ( we can only consider candidates that live in the DMV)

Client seeking a compassionate caregiver to help complete a team of 3 caregivers for a lady in her 90's. We have had the pleasure of working with this client for many years and highly recommend this position.

  •  Personal care – Provide grooming and ADL care to an elderly (90+) female

  •  Safety – Maintain a safe environment to allow for ambulation and minimize chances

    of falls at home and any other places visited

  • Medical

        Assist onsite supervisor with managing medical appointments and attending medical visits as needed

      Medication management – ensure prescriptions are taken as directed

       Travel

        Drive (using company vehicle) to various medical or social events
        Travel with and facilitate a smooth trip (check in, wheelchair needs etc.)

        May require some extended travel, passport required

      Other Duties

       Assist with managing social calendar (and checking the circulated calendar regularly to ensure that guests arrival are appropriately prepared for and         anticipated

      Light meal preparations
      Light housekeeping
      Run errands as needed
      Provide companionship if desired
      Attend trainings related to special areas of care as needed
      Pet care – must be willing to provide minimal pet care as needed (there is currently one small dog in the household)

       Communication – must maintain communication with and report to supervisor in all work-related matters (including leave requests with 30- days’       notice)

      Typical Work Hours
       Day shift: 7am to 8pm (responsible for bathing and dressing) Night shift: 8pm to 7am ( These hours are covered by 3-4 caregivers)

       Must have flexibility to stay longer, as needed? Qualifications and Minimum Education/Experience Requirements o GED

        Active (and maintained while employed) CNA/GNA state licenses & Transportation

        Emergency preparedness

       5 years’ experience working as a caregiver in a hospital, nursing home, or private home environment ,specifically working with the elderly and age related illness      

         Must be vaccinated against COVID and take any other vaccines recommended by the CDC for someone taking care of the elderly

         Must be conscientious with a strong work ethic, highly organized, and able to multitask

        Must be a team player and work in harmony with others in providing a positive and encouraging atmosphere

         Must be adaptable and willing to assist as and when called upon for other duties as needed
