Location: McLean, VA (Live-Out)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, with flexibility for occasional evenings or weekends
Compensation: $80,000–$100,000 annually, depending on experience

POSITION OVERVIEW:
A private family in McLean, VA is seeking an experienced, highly organized Family Assistant / Personal Assistant to provide comprehensive household and administrative support. This individual will assist with managing two active teenagers, coordinating household operations, overseeing vendors and maintenance, and supporting the family’s philanthropic foundation. The ideal candidate brings exceptional attention to detail, sound judgment, and a warm, professional demeanor. This role requires discretion, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities seamlessly.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Family & Household Support
Coordinate family calendars, appointments, and travel arrangements.
Liaise with schools, tutors, and extracurricular providers; assist with academic and activity schedules.
Run errands, manage household shopping, and maintain inventory of supplies and personal items.
Organize family events, dinners, and travel logistics as needed.
Maintain organized household filing systems, records, and digital documents.
Property & Vendor Management
Oversee maintenance, repairs, and seasonal projects for the primary McLean residence and any secondary properties.
Schedule and supervise vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely, high-quality work.
Maintain property manuals, warranties, and vendor contact lists.
Support estate readiness for holidays, guest visits, and family entertaining.
Foundation & Administrative Support
Provide administrative support for the family’s charitable foundation, including donation tracking and correspondence.
Prepare meeting materials, research potential grantees, and assist with event coordination.
Manage calendars, calls, and email correspondence for family principals.
Process invoices and expenses; liaise with accountants or financial advisors as needed.
Maintain contact databases, records, and digital archives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of experience as a Family Assistant or Personal Assistant in a private household.
Strong organizational, administrative, and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Proficiency with digital tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and organizational apps).
Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
Discreet, trustworthy, and professional demeanor.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
U.S. work authorization.
