Live-In Domestic Couple

Location: Palos Park, IL

Overview: Couple to maintain 20, 000 sq home on 2 acres of land.   

 They will reside in a two-bedroom apartment on the

lower level of the home with its own private entry. The

ideal couple will have a strong work ethic, excellent

organizational skills, and a passion for service.

The home consists of 2 adult women; they reside approximately 5 months of the year (summer months ) in this residence.

Responsibilities: - General housekeeping and the upkeep

of the home. - Flexibility to work varied hours.

- Maintain a clean and orderly home to include, check clocks to be sure batteries are working and time is correct, pull weights on the grandfather clock, check clock in library and wind

Shredding bag (take out when full);

Water all interior plants (as needed); fix anything broken

in the house (with exception of jobs needing a licensed professional when needed

Gather all garbage and recycling and take outside the gates

Wash cans regularly.

Ensure security and privacy of the residence

Every night before retiring check doors are locked,

fires are out, candles are out, lights are off and alarm

is set

- Plan, shop, prepare and serve meals, help with occasional entertaining Christmas etc.

- Drive owner occasionally (night)

- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

- Maintain exterior of the property

Check for beehives continually; check for needed

screen repairs; water plants when necessary; remove

dead plants: see that weeds are pulled, planting

areas look good, no weeds growing between the

bricks. Keep furniture in good repair.

All cobwebs brushed away outside, including those

by the gate, clean outside lights, keep fixtures

clean and free of bugs; sweep front porch, keep

windows clean, make sure generator is ready and

working properly, make sure basement closets

are clean.

Keeping bugs away is important. The property is

surrounded by Forest Preserves.
