Location: Washington, DC
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week. Occasional travel required
Compensation: $120,000 – $140,000 annually

POSITION OVERVIEW:
A private household in Washington, DC is seeking a highly organized and compassionate House Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the home while providing light administrative and personal support.
The ideal candidate will ensure the household runs smoothly, remains well-organized, and supports the family’s daily routines. This role requires strong organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to provide structured support for an independent, high-functioning individual with early-stage memory concerns.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Household Management
Oversee the day-to-day organization and smooth operation of the household.
Coordinate housekeeping, laundry, and assist with grocery shopping with the family.
Prepare meals and coordinate dinner parties when requested.
Maintain household calendars, appointments, and activities in coordination with the family.
Provide reminders for appointments and daily schedules.
Ensure the home remains safe, comfortable, and well-organized.
Manage household supplies and arrange services or repairs as needed.
Administrative Support
Maintain calendars and reminders for medications, appointments, and social activities.
Communicate regularly with family members regarding household needs and updates.
Assist with light record-keeping related to appointments and household tasks.
Companionship & Personal Support
Provide friendly companionship and conversation to support emotional well-being.
Encourage participation in daily activities, hobbies, and light exercise.
Support memory and orientation through gentle reminders and structured routines.
Accompany the client on walks, appointments, or outings as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience or willingness to work with an independent, high-functioning individual with early-stage memory issues.
Strong organizational and household management skills.
Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
